Easter 2013 Celebrations

Easter and Christmas are the two holiday's that really, truly make me slow down and realize just how truly blessed I am.  Don't get me wrong, I know that I am blessed.  I have a husband who loves me unconditionally and is my best friend (who gets to live with their best friend every day?  I do!), four of the most amazing, kind, smart, beautiful children I know (I might be biased but I don't think so). 
We both have good jobs, are able to provide for our family and even though we both work, we spend so much quality time with our kids and each other; always making memories.  I am always reminded just how lucky I am and how blessed our little big family is.  I will let the pictures do the talking.
 
The kids had a good time...as always, with the dying of the eggs.   
 
It's always fun to see them be creative with their egg creations.

 I of course had to do a Ombre egg, in my favorite color...blue.
 
The kids' baskets didn't have a special theme to them at all.  The boys needed swim trunks for the summer and the girls didn't really need much more than a few items.  In fact, I had over bought at Christmas time for one of the girls, so she has had her basket ready to go for 3 months now.    :)  
We didn't do much candy, just a teeny bit, because that is something we are phasing out of our lives and quiet honestly, they just don't need to have any. 
 
 
 
 
This Easter, The Mister was "on-call" again for work, so we actually had the festivities at our house, so that he could join us (he ended up having to leave for a call, so he missed the kids and their egg hunt). We really lucked out with the weather. Can you say, sundress and flip flops? Yup, we had 70 degree weather. It was spectacular.  Sorry, I don't have any egg hunt pictures...too busy watching the kids get eggs.


All in all, it was a fantastic holiday.  Family + Food + Kids + Good times = Priceless

I Needed To Find My Purpose

I've been on a mission lately to find my purpose. To find my joy . To find my passion . I was out of my routine.    I was in a funk. I was getting grumpy and I was getting irritated with my family. I was feeling lost in my day. I made a shift. What I was doing wasn't working and I knew I needed to think outside of the box. I started working out form home because my gym was closed.  I choose to join a community that I thought would be a bunch of people working out together and that would be it.  It ended up being the energy, encouragement and vibe that I never knew existed or that I was missing out on!!! Now I can not imagine my life without it and even the thought of going back to what I was doing before makes me so sad. I wanted more of this!!!  I decided to sign up as a coach to experience the mentorship and community and help OTHER women feel as good as I am feeling!!!  To help them experience this too, because it's not just for me.  It's for ANYONE who is looking fo

ORC: Week One - Built-Ins & Overthinking

 Well, here we are at week one of the One Room Challenge and I have officially wasted a full week overthinking my base cabinets.   I was so excited.  Ordered them online from The Home Depot, got curbside pick up.  Got them home and placed them in their new spots and instant buyers remorse.   What had I done?   I started sending pics to those closest to me and asking their opinions.  The icing on the cake was when the hubby got home and immediately said, "Holy smokes those things are HUGE!" I went on Instagram Stories and asked for your opinions, which was 50/50, so that didn't help at all....hahaha    I  then started using painters tape to fuel my vision.  I am such a visual person that I really need to see that what was currently in my home was not too large, cumbersome, bulky, and literally ruining my vision for built-ins.    I asked friends to check it out when they stopped by.  Friends!!!  It was still 50/50 with everyone's opinions!!!  At the end of the day I ne
