Come On Lets Go and Play

Image
"Do you wanna build a snowman? Come on lets go and play" Who else has some Frozen loving kids humming that tune around their house?   What a great movie!  Well done, Disney, well done.  As soon as the first snowflake fell, nearly two weeks ago, I had a young lady running around singing this song.  It was pretty cute.   The excitement was pretty high at our house, since the last time we had any significant snowfall was the Winter of 2008-2009, which is faaar too long for any kiddo, and quite frankly, this mom to wait.  We love the snow. The furry kids having a blast together From our front window View from our back-side yard The kids had a blast. The girls Neighbor boys with Bubba on the end Then the ice came. Then the rain came.  :( We had a fun few days before our snow received a 'warm hug' and went away.

Sisters...

Sisters...a tricky relationship.  One minute your sister is your best friend in the whole wide world, the next minute you are screaming at each other because she is wearing your favorite shirt. The two sisters that live in our house, our darling daughters, are going through a tough time right now.  They are at each other's throats, they are irritated at the sound of each other's breathing, much less everything else.  I know they are the best of friends, which is why they are the way they are right now. This last weekend we did our annual Mother-Daughter beach trip, with 4 other mommies and 5 other girls, ages from 4-15.  We love this trip every year.   We seriously look forward to it so much every year.  It is so much fun.  Out of all the pictures that were taken on this trip, this is my favorite picture.  If a picture could talk...this one would say 1,000 words. I love these girls so much!

Homesteader Farms

Happy Monday everyone!!!  Did you have a good weekend?   The Mister and Hotrod were out of town for the weekend, since Hotrod had a ISDE Race (dirt bike race) that he was in.  The girls and Bubba stayed home and hung out with me while we got Firecracker ready to head off to outdoor school this morning. My sweet friend, Michelle and her lovely husband Neil, have their very own animal farm.  I work with Michelle and she has been telling me all about the baby animals on her farm.  We have been trying to get out there to see the babies before they get too big.  We went and visited them last year and those babies and even got to help take care of some of the babies when they went out of town on trip...the kids LOVED it. So, we went to go visit their farm, while The Mister and Hotrod where out of town for a race. When we pulled up we were immediately greeted by Cletus the turkey aka The Flirt.  He ruffled his feathers and e...

Shall We Ride?

It's been a really long time since I've posted. Sorry about that. Things have been different crazy. I've been studying for a license for my work, so all other activities are taking a back seat. I am craving a good crafting and project!  They will be coming.  Soon.  Very, very soon. A couple of weekends ago we took off for a much needed mini vacation. At first I was really stressed about going on this mini getaway. It wasn’t a good time at my work to be gone, since it was tax time, nor at The Mister’s work, they seemed to have been short-handed. But that’s ultimately why we were taking this mini vacay. We were burnt out. We were stressed and we needed to regroup as a family.  The kids were picking up on the stress.  We were tense.  We needed to be “unplugged”. We needed to get away. We just needed...each other. So where did we go? We went to our favorite place in this wonderfully beautiful state we call home. We headed east to Central Oregon. I...

It's working! It's working!

Did you all read my post the other day?  About becoming unplugged ?  I've had a lot of feedback from people in my inner circle.  Some who loved it.  Some who thought I hit the nail on the head.  Some who were sheepishly shy about it because it hit home for them. Well, this week of being unplugged has been fantastic with the kids.  We've had a ton of play time together.  Everyone is helping out around the house more and the kids are TALKING TO EACH OTHER , like SHARING THEIR LIVES , talking to each other.  Do you know what this means?!?!?!?  This means MAMA is thrilled!  Like-squealing-inside-but-can't-let-the-kids-see-me, thrilled! I did fall upon this article today; Dear Mom on the iPhone .  It actually brought tears to my eyes, because it's happened.  It's so true.  I see it.  I've been guilty of it.  I know you have too.  I think we all need a little reminder of this. Please take the tim...

Hey Girl!

Image
We've all seen the Ryan Gosling "Hey Girl" memes that are all over Pinterest.  Well, these Five Fabulous bloggers are hosting a "Hey Girl" link party;  View Along The Way , Decor and the Dog , Bliss Ranch , Two Twenty One and Domesic Imperfection .  This is a fun way to show some Valentine's Love for my main man.  Anyone, who knows The Mister and I, knows that we are in such love that we are inseparable.  I thought this would be easy, you know, since I've been with The Mister, for-ever.   But it was a little harder than I thought.  Trying to find the perfect picture to go with the perfect "Hey Girl" was a little tricky, too.  However, once I got into my groove, I could have done a gazillion more of these. How do you not fall in love, even more, with a man that falls asleep with their babies? Cheers baby!  You love me and you know it!   Happens every. Single. Time. I rent a movie Working on it, ...
